Perkins family papers [manuscript], 1839-1874.

The collection contains two small memoranda books, 1839 and undated, containing cash accounts, which include donations to a beggar, soldiers aid, foreign and domestic missions and "Hampton sufferers." Perkins also records the dates of his marriage and the births of his children as well as slave births. The collection also contains scattered promissory notes, Fluvanna County tax receipt, 1859, several miscellaneous accounts, an account for the estate of his father-in-law George Seay, 1874; and an engraved portrait of Benjamin Arm[i?]stead Shepherd.
